Coach Sally began teaching swimming lessons when she was in college and worked in the field of Aquatics Management in Colorado for the next 14 years. After moving to Florida, she continued teaching swimming lessons. To date Coach Sally has taught over 6,000 children swimming lessons and how to be safe in and around the water.
Coach Sally has a special rapport with children of all ages and stages of learning in swimming instruction. She teaches children the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and being safe through the Swim & Learn program. During the school year, she teaches the Jump and Learn Program in schools throughout Clay County and she officiates youth in regional volleyball programs. Her experience with children also involves volunteering with the youth programs at her church and various scouting programs.
She has completed the State of Florida background screenings and required screenings through schoolboards for Clay, Duval, St Johns, Baker and Nassau Counties. She is certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid through the American Safety & Health Institute.
Coach Sally is a proponent of educating parents and caregivers about drowning prevention. She is available to speak to community groups about measures that will enhance water safety.
